On behalf of the Committee of the European Community Psychology Association (ECPA) and members of the organising committee, it is our pleasure to announce the 8th European Congress of Community Psychology (8th ECCP) which will be held in York, England, September 15-16, 2011.

The conference was hosted by the ECPA, with the idea of bringing together those interested in exchanging ideas about Community Psychology. The conference steering committee is currently developing a programme with the central theme: ‘Community Psychology, Critical Issues’, that aims to be inclusive and interactive.
It aims to be an exciting event that will enable exchange of views, with the purpose of enabling progress in the practice and theorising of Community Psychology in Europe.
